I remember Cycodad and Snaggletooth as pretty much the only medics at one point. Frag would play it every once in a while. X3 is another good medic, but he is usually only on later in the evenings. 10-12 p.s.t. The one thing I see that X3, Snaggletooth and Cycodad do a little differently than the new breed of medics are they heal their teammates a little more and can be found regularly when you are infected. Not having Albino Gibbon kill himself in the church while you are running circles. While you laugh at me. Snaggletooth seems to use his stun/concussion grenade (whatever it is called) pretty effectively. I don't know about that anymore, since he has so many aliases. Hehe. Those things cause more irritation than you think. Kind of dangerous around teammates though. Toss a couple of those out of the gate to the left, where the soldiers are usually awating and their accuracy is gone. More than likely, they will run away from that area until they get their senses back. But then again, you could chase them down while they are doing that and poison, poison, poison, poison, supershotgun and poison them some more. I am no medic, but I know what would cause me some grief. One thing that gives you guys a bad name is a big number of respawn campers are medics. I just wish people that were poisoned would turn another color or have a little skull and crossbones over their heads, so I could stay the heck away from them. The one thing that irritates me the most about you medics is.........you poison me and I am out fighting with a hw or soldier and they knock me down to 5 health. Then your poison takes over for that split second and you get the kill. I guess the other player should be mad and not me. Plus, it is difficult to type the word posion, pioson, psosion, poison. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to retype that word. I don't even know if I am spelling it right.

I have seen our Mayor go medic a few times and he's pretty good at it as well. We had a little encounter earlier today on Well and I stopped him from getting the flag once but the next time he came, it was like he was invisible! I sware I would see him run one way, but when I went that way, he was behind me again! Doh! That dood got some moves as well!

That is the real secret to owning you guys as medic...I heal your attempted frags and then frag your teammates while you infect mine. Then I heal my teammates (at least I heal the ones who shout and stand still ) While you reinfect and your teammates die. I give quick boosts to every treammate I pass , infected or not and then after making sure all is well I proceed back to the front to infect, nail and nade all I can.

I keep my team in top shape and weaken the NME whenever I can. As for stealing kills because you get shot to 5 health and then die from infection...I HATE when I work someone down to 2% health and a HW or soldier comes along and shoots them or some SPY stabs him and bye bye kit kill. And it is completely inexcusable to shoot any spy that I am STANDING on and kit killing HELLO He isn't going anywhere with me standing on him....Now that is stealing a kill.

This game is a perfect example of what meds can do. This is also the game I've been in and never had to play offense. In the pic there are two current meds. Whybkuul and Mulisha had also played med earlier in the game. All we needed was Snag. I'm sure you remeber this one Albino

Read the "How to keep your team alive, and love it" thread in JD's tip section...

Chen, I've got a shot much like that from a few weeks ago somewhere. Insane what a medic or two can do for team scores.

(I haven't been playing as much lately because I need to sleep when I'm not in class or at work. And I've got lots of aliases)

So what is the "magic balance" between infecting the NME and healing your team? When I play medic, I think I tend to be a little too infection happy... Is there an "area of operations" a medic should try to stay in?

Example: You're defending medic on avanti, then NME has 2, is trying to get 3... where should you play as a medic? I usually use the hallways between 2 and 3, grabbing every bag anywhere near that... but should I go back and behind 3 to heal more often?

It can go both ways.

Yes Chen, I remember that round. It was last night and it was a rough battle. I didn't bail out though. I have also been on the other end of one of those. Dreadvile had to move up just so he could shoot at somebody. Hehe.
