Grudge Server Gone Soft

Remember when you could go to the grudge server and actually fight? Those days were great! I recently played a level of "Sniperburgers" with Ktulu and it is now officially impossible to CB fight anywhere on the map. No one wants to allow it. So we figured, hey lets go grudge so we can get this out of our system and not bother or be bothered by anyone else!

Then we realize. . .the grudge server is now the jumpy jump server 24/7. Tayconc is a great map don't get me wrong but come on! Not back to back to back! And the 58th map. . . .I have spent more than five minutes after each spawn stuck behind doors because no one knows how to open them!

Is there anyway you could give us back the grudge server? Pa pa pa pleeeeeeeez?

I believe there is map vote, but not sure.
You have to go judge than you can open the doors and switch back.

None of the maps are back to back on the Grudge Server. Someone must have voted in a map and left it there. It usually reverts back to the cycle once that map is over. If the general populace wants it to be a mulch_dm server only, I don't have a problem with that. Just give me a holler and a majority vote!

No map vote yet. I try going judge but if the team gets full, you can't get back.

I vote for more mulch_dm, please! Especially crowbar fights. But still keep 58thv2 and tayconc to practice jumps. Maybe 3 mulches per 58th and tayconc. That's my opinion.

Hmm. I like Tayconc and 58THV2.

My feelings. I think that the team restrictions shouldn't be. It makes alot of stuff easier, like opening doors, and not being stuck as a civilan. Also? I think a map vote command should be added, so you don't have to wait up to a full 40 minutes or so just to play Mulch or Tayconc, cause you got in there shortly after the map was fixed.

I've learned allot about conc jumping from tayconc, true brotherhood on that map there always seems to be people willing to take time to help you with whatever you ask of them.

The 58THV2 is a map I first played tonight, I liked it except I did get stuck behind the door several times for several minutes and there was this stupid hw just being an @$$.

Mulch_DM what can you say.... this map rules, straight forward face to face combat and almost everybody know the un-written rules.

Munk, I know I don't speak for everybody but as long as there is a map vote on that server I think we can pretty much help ourselves and I like the fact that you spend time finding cool maps for us to play.

(Does anybody think we need the kick vote too?)

Maybe we need a server just for concing. Then we could return the grudge to its former glory. Just a thought. If I knew anything about hosting I'd offer my bandwidth....

Map vote would be perfect! That way we could switch to mulch when the server is empty!

Kick vote is never a good thing. Too tempting for Llamas.

I know the server rotates the maps but people tend to continuosly vote tayconc. It gets old after the first two times you know.

The grudge server was originally for people who talked smack and were challenged to back it up. It just seems kind of silly to say, "I pwn you with soldier!" "Oh yeah, well let's go jumpy jump and see who is the best jumpy jumper?"

However, I must agree with the populace on this so if need be, I will put my money where my mouth is! I have only the one computer so I can't host a server. However, if someone else can host, I will be more than willing to pay the entire amount for a 5:30 to 8:00 all mulch server! Just let me know what I need to do! The only thing I would ask is that you name it "The Grudge Server".

I am tired of complaining about things that I do not pay for or run! So here you go! I want to really help out!

My friend has a comp that he might let me use to host a server. It'd be a 24/7 dedicated OC3 line. I'll know more in the next week.

Well, I have a kid so needless to say, I don't want to pay for a 24/7 server. The 5:30 to 8:00 would be good enough for me.

There was a permissions issue with mapvote/rockthevote on the Grudge server. You should be able to access those commands now. I also put in a feature in the mapvote where 5 random maps will be listed for you to choose from, and one more to extend the map play. Let me know if you like it this way or if you prefer it to be an open vote.
