If you use adware6, I would suggest changing the settings and enabling a deep registry scan... also scan your host files.
Then when you run it choose the custom scan button. I would imagine you are reffering to something like coolsearch or fast search. I had that crap forever and never got rid of it until I did the above... let me know if you want the exact settings, but its relativly simple once you get into the settings menu. _________________

Chiggers! Hate those!
Whenever I get those searches installed, I just copy the url and paste it into Google. It always brings up something on removal. Everytime, somewhere, someone else has had the problem and has a fix.
For me, it's usually from inadvertantly clicking "yes" on one of those annoying Install Popups or from something attached to a file from a peer to peer network d-load.
Crap, many of those things require no d-load at all. They just attach themselves like a parasite. Hence the name "Chigger". _________________ Recipient of POTM award

I used to have popups for medical things untill I figured out where the files where and replaced them with a blank file. Whenever I run Ad-Aware, Spybot, or RegClean, they just freeze up at a certain point. Anyone know how to fix this? _________________

Sounds like a browser hijacker got installed. Do some searches on browser hijacking and hope you didnt get the CWS one.
Check your add/remove programs to see what might be there too as some install there.
