will not be watered down american beer.

The Coors/Molson announcement is also oddly worded. "The transaction brings together Coors, founded in 1873, and the third-largest brewer in the U.S., with an 11% market share, and the second-largest brewer in the U.K. with a market share of 21%, with Molson, North America's oldest beer company, founded in 1786, and Canada's leading brewer with a 43% market share, and the third-largest brewer in Brazil, where it has an 11% market share," it says.

Uhh, most mass produced Canadian beer (aka Molson) is every bit as crappy as most mass produced American beer.

If anything, Canada is lacking in beer. In many states I've been to, they have LOTS of locally made microbrews... in Canada... there is VERY few. In fact, most liquor stores don't have any. I mean, Big Rock is pretty good, but the quality of beer in Canada really isn't very good on the whole. We're overrun by commercialized crap. I mean, Molson Canadian sells simply because they envoke some weird Canadian pride with their "I am Canadian" commercials... and they get silly immature people to run around wearing the free shirts/hats that they give away w/ their cheap ass beer...

Sorry, I'm in a grumpy mood. I prefer tequila or rum to beer anyway.

Yes. Oregon has many fine microbrews. hmmmmmmm..

But I'll take a nice shot of 12 year old scotch over any of them. In fact, I'm enjoying a nice double shot of Macallan 12 as I speak.

Some of you kiddies were still in diapers when this fine stuff was made.

Hi Lhiannan!

I've to agree with you on 1 thing!

On the other side, I'm not agree with your sentence:

I don't know anything for you in Alberta, but here in Quebec, we have a lot of VERY GOOD microbrewer. The most well known is Unibroue (that have just been bought by the Brewery from Ontario, Sleeman). There is also "Les brasseurs du Nord", "le cheval Blanc", "La Barberie" and a few other smaller breweries. Each of them brew about 10 different beers (stout, bitter, pale ale, etc...) that are for the most very good. Maybe if you look carefully, you'll be able to find some of those beer. Give them a try, you'll not be deceived. I think you can find them at a few specialized place in US and english Canada!

Personnally, my favorite beer is "La maudite", brewed by Unibroue. It is a red beer with a very respectful 8% alcohol. #Beer

Here'a a few other good choice if you can find them.

"Boreale Rousse" Red, 5% alc.

"La fin du monde" 9% alc

If you want to know more about Unibroue, go to their website at the address:
http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm

On that, I think I'll go take a good "Maudite". Talking of that made me thirsty! #Beer

Well you need to travel more.... Canada is not all of Canada... QUEBEC is also Canada, and we have LOTS of microbrew here.... No wonder I'm always drunk....

A few shots of either should cure that condition. #Beer

Oregon is my favorite state. An awesome place, beautiful, and lots of cool people. One of my first dates with my husband was actually at the Rogue microbrewery restaraunt in Newport, OR.

And, okay... I'll give you East Coaster's more credit, since I haven't been out that way in a long time, and quite honestly am not THAT familiar with their alcoholic offerings. Please accept my apologies #Fade in
