OMG OMG OMG OMG

This game (even though it is laggy for me) SCARED THE LIVING PISS OUT OF ME TODAY.

You remember those websites that say turn volume up and then scary face with a scream, ya well they did basically the SAME THING! i almost pissed my pants, The game does the best mirror effect possible (real time mirror) most games havnt been able to master this. if u get it be sure to check out every mirror, specially bathroom ones *heh*. Then youll go past some spots and you hear a creapy voice just laugh, and 2 seconds later a wall blows down and BAM HUGE MONSTERS ON YOUR @$$. I love it. When my bro heard me yell once he came in and said, you still havnt played Resident Evil (the first one). He was like that one scared the Sh** out of me.

Resident Evil 1 is the only video game that has ever made me jump. Those damned skinless dogs jumping through windows. Although the creepiest game I've ever played has to be the PC game called Sanitarium. That game was freakish.

Sadly, I can't run Doom III. I can't even touch that game with my system.

Don't know of anything out there that is better than those.

Smegma, you should be able to run it fine with your setup. Just not at the res and eye stuff that any game before this played at on your system. I would say 1024 x 768 medium/high quality settings is where you will be fine.

Fantastic game. I have a 2.8ghz, 512 ram, 9600pro and I run it at medium with 1024 resolution and get a 40-60 fps. How far are you all? I'm at the power station after the alpha sections.

Well i checked a console command "gfxinfo" and it told me that the game is running in 32bit color mode, Does anyone know if there is a command to put it into a 16bit color mode. Because i know that 16 and 32 look basically the same with less lag.... (correct me if im wrong)

Don't know KRG the original Aliens vs Predator game was pretty spooky. Had me jumping a few times.

I have a XP2500 with 1 gig and a TI4600 WindersXP. Runs about 25-38 somewhere in there and that is at 1024X768 high setting with 2X anti.

The only thing I really don't like about this game....how come every single person looks the same and has the same plastic looking face.. The plasticy (if thats a word) looks on real people bugs me.

Ehhhh decent game but I am not sure if it was worth the wait. I think its a year to late.

Anyone else find it weird that Doom3 installs DirectX9b???, WTF is up with that??

Thx for the tips, im lookin into getting a P4, now that they are finally down into my pricerange. Im lookin into around a 2.0 GHZ that i could over clock. Any tips/websites to look at, ive looked at newegg and found the range was around 120-130$. Thanks.

Also Doom 3 wierded me out, inside (like hallways n such) it laggs really bad, but right at the begining you have to go outside for a few sec to go to another building, and outside it ran smooth as crap, it made no sence, outside places normaly lag lol.

2.4's are really good overclockers if you can get them. I have mine at 3.2 on stock cooling. Merf and Gravedigger have them too and 3.0+.
