Were you already logged into STEAM ?
I was able to connect untill I rebooted

| You can connect in offline mode. I was able to at least join the servers on my favorites. I just couldn't search for new servers(Not that I needed to). |

The problem with that is that you have to be logged in already.
Yeah I was already playing when the update was released, so I was lucky.
