This is my view of what DoD should be like, what I use. Almost every single model, sound, sprite, texture has been customized and perfected.
This pack is for people who like realism, historical accuracy, high poly models, playing axis, SPR type action, bored of their current dod, want to try
something different, or want a good looking DoD without having to download 1000 different models. This pack is NOT for low end computers. I use this on a
2.4 p4, radeon 9800 pro, 1024 mb ram and get average 60 fps.

INSTALLATION:
BACK UP YOUR DOD FOLDER BEFORE YOU INSTALL!!! Although I like it, no one is the exact same as me and you may want some of your old features back.

To install just extract the day of defeat folder from the zip into your Steam\SteamApps\(your email)\ directory.

It is pretty cool! I've been playing with it today and have enjoyed it.

Back up your old one though, I can see getting tired of it at some point

I just installed it today. I don't know if I like it much. I am gonna keep it up for a few days to try to get used to it though. I have the backup so no worries there.

i really like it and i get 60fps, but randomly it drops me down to 4 and that i cant handle.

That is something I will look at today. I spent most of yesterday trying to get used to the different sounds. There are so many ambient sounds now it just seems like a bit much. I'm curious to see how the performance end is.
