				|
 |
				| I have some information on an issuse thought to orginally be just a bug in NS, but turns out to be a bug in all of Half-Life's mods. It is just more noticeable in NS because of the skulks speed. This bug causes a players Hitbox to be infront of the player when they move. It affects the same player each time. In a server with X max player it will affect the player in solt X. So on TV3 which has 16 slots, who ever is in Slot 16 will have the bug. And since the players slot stays in memory, they will get that slot next time they join if it is available (So if you are in 16 and quit, then return to the server before it hits 16 players, you will still have slot 16 regardless of how many players there are). An example from TFC is if the player is a scout and is running, if you shoot them directly you will miss because their hitbox is so far ahead of them that it is sperate from the model. This is caused be the client and server not seeing the same thing because that player lags slightly (If you spectate in first person you will see it correctly). Here is a link to a detailed explanation on the NS forums, which includes pics form NS and HLDM showing it

So remember this when you think a person is cheating, they may be affected by this bug
