Well, I've been thinking lately.... A dangerous thing but anyways... Theres a girl that I know, I've known her for about five years and we're pretty good friends. We've gottne to know each other fairly well over the last six months. I noticed that she seems to have a strange way of changing anything she considers "bad" about me. For example: I use to crack my nuckles, back, neck (infact, I can crack almost every joint in my body for some odd reason ). She didn't like this - she never liked the sound cracking joints make (like a neck being broken in a movie if you don't know what it sounds like) and, before I knew it, I wasnt doing it any more - I haven't done so in a couple of months. Another example: she doesn't like swearing, I use to swear a bit, not too bad, like a sailor on a good day . Anyways, before I knew it, I wasn't swearing anymore. I haven't sworn in weeks... So, am I whipped? Whats your opinion? |

*cracks neck*
Sounds more like you're trying to conform to her likes. _________________

Potato now man not vegetable. Good luck, relax and have fun. If the worse happens you can always go back to cussing!
Not cracking your joints though...usually once you start doing that its near impossible to stop. Congratulations....I bet that does not hold though _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

well sounds like you like her and are changing your ways to please her.Maybe not intentionally but it sounds like it.

" We've gottne to know each other fairly well over the last six months"
either way quite changen for her, stop your bad habits on your own terms and if you are gettn some yell out "THE VILLE ROCKS" during just so she knows her place inline
Good luck dude _________________

Changing your habits in an unobtrusive way for someone you like is a terrible thing! Be a real man, disgust and annoy her in any way you see fit! [/sarcasm]
It's like a female changing her shift away from the weekend because her boyfriend is visiting at that time, and a feminist coming along and saying "what? he should accommodate you and your shifts, he's the one that's visiting".
Both sides of this coin are equally stupid. If you stop doing something because someone close appreciates it, it doesn't put you 'under the thumb', or be 'whipped'. Unless you go for macho culture like that
Also, if you seem to have stopped doing these things and barely realised it, it suggests you value this person's opinion a lot |

This about sums it up. If you are changing just to please her and you are not happy with the change then you are going the wrong direction. If you don't mind the change then there are no problems _________________

I don't seem to be doing it for any other reason then those mentioned above. It would seem that perhaps because she doesn't like it might be a reason, but lifes good without swearing and all that...
Now shes "nagging" me to go to her church ... |
