Why don't you play TFC anymore at theville's server?

The dod thread got me thinking why there aren't many people playing TFC, yet everyone still wants to play it. I'm curious as to why no one plays much for TFC here at the servers anymore. Post your comments.

I dont know, there are a few reasons. I suppose they are as follows:

1. my computer is too lagy for practically every game on the market (TFC included).
2. no one really plays anymore, I find that most of the oldies who I use to play with on a regular basis are gone or hardly ever show up.

heck, we've talked about this ad naseum.

I would play TFC every time I log on if there were people on the server. I'll even go against the bots for a bit in hopes that someone will join me.

It's just that no one plays the game any more. I'd love to see people playin' TFC, but I never do.

Too many other mods and everyone ditched TFC for the most part. Most players already have their places they play, so getting new ones is difficult. Until HL2 comes out with TFC or TF2 I doubt it will get better. Personally its the only HL mod I'll play though, so since no one plays I dont really play.

Whats funny is there will be 7 real ppl and one bot and ppl have hissy fits over there is bots on the server. waaaaaa. Its one freakin bot.

Most people who play tfc now play in clans, there are very few good pubs left in tfc (ie. no pubs that aren't filled with bots). Most of the pubs that get a lot of traffic now are league style play.

I can't wait for hl2 to come out so we can play tf:source.

To be honest, I don't see a problem with the ville dropping a tfc server if it gets no traffic, no sense having two good servers go to waste entertaining bots all day.

PS. kaz feel free to show up for a practice/pop in to irc every once in a while. It wouldn't kill you, you know.

I love tfc, i always go back to it, no matter what other mod i played. I used to play against bots all day and mike was usually the only one to pop in. I gave up after well all summer and most of the school year. It's not fun knowing what the bots gonna do next. Different servers i go to, people whine about everything and they laugh at you everytime they kill you, so that's no fun.
