I'm just curious to why there are so many people like DoD. I for one could never get really interested in the game. I don't know if it is just that I don't like games that are realistic or what. I just couldn't get interested in it, but I would like to know why all of you are interested in it.

well... I found it slightly amusing to see just how low my kills were in comparison to my deaths..... kinda fun to see if you could outsmart a different camper.... really great to do a kamikaze run with a primed nade in the middle of flash

but.... I have now discovered NS, on which the classical maps require teamwork and many strategical plots. So, I now find dod slow in action, and kinda stupid...

I like it for the reason you said you didn't Borg. The realism aspect makes it fun to me. One shot kills, sneaking around, sticking your neck out in the wrong place...

i like it since it's a FPS game that dosn't take too long like CS. i like TS much better but DoD still kicks ass. and if you want a realistic game. DoD is nothing, try playing "R63" rainbow Six 3, now that's realistic

TFC pretty much died so I tried dod for the first time since it came out. I guess you could say it's more realistic then tfc, but it's not realistic at all.

I like it because you have team based objectives and it's a real challenge to be good with a rifle. Plus, when I try something new I have to try and get as good at it as I can. Since I still suck at dod, I still have a way to go

I play DoD mostly to rage when the garand doesn't work the way I think it should. Hey at least I'm honest.

i started with tfc and then when dod came out ,that was it.not as difficult as cs or all the others that are out there for me anyway.tfc was just to fast paced for me and to cartoony for less of a word.but don`t get me wrong i spent many an hr on dial up trying to compete man i seen alot of sunrises when i first started could never get the conc jumps etc or that freakn bunny hop.I loved playing the hunted though and still enjoy the just sniping maps.

btw i do play bf/bfv/c.o.d./m.o.h.a.a and just been trying ut2k4

Yeah same here about the slowness of DoD. You're always thinking about lots of stuff in NS while in DoD all you think about is that sniper that keeps annoying your team. I liked DoD because it was fun.

i like dod..it was the first game i started playing..DOD is addictive for me...i've been playing it almost a year now...well NS is okay, i just dont like how the spawn area is for NS, too many spawn campers... I've never really gotten into TFC i guess its too cartoony for me...and besides im so used to DOD respawn that i always forget to click when im dead in TFC, so i always end up waiting for bout 10 minutes to respawn before i remember this isnt like dod respawn..

Especially if you try using a weapon you suck at, like the garand. Then going back to the ville it makes it seem like a cake walk.

I love DOD because it is fast paced and requires a lot of thinking and smart reactions to what happens. It was the first FPS I played since playing Doom. As long as the server is full there are plenty of people to kill, especially if you get behind their lines.

ya i used to play that last year thats very realistic but cuz of its net code problems and trigger lag i stoped playing and i went back to tfc

i heard they fixed the net code in the expansion i dont know tho i didnt buy it. i wasnt gonna try it after they patched the origional and said they fixed trigger lag but they just had them not count a few bullets. i would go back to it if other people would want to play tho.

I like it because it rewards quick thinking and reflexes. Despite its flaws I think it's the most fun game I've played in years, no two rounds ever really play the same. I've always been a huge FPS fan, it's really just an extension of Halo for me - a guy can get on these massive tears, it's good times. Maybe try again when DoD Source comes out.
