Well, for now. Here are some pictures of my 1972 Chevelle, been restoring it for the last few years, after saving it from rotting away in weeds. Did a lot of stuff to it, major stuff was, new interior, rebuilt engine, and a lot of detail, cuz that is what makes a car, IMO. Here it is:

Not bad for how much money we had, and the quality done.
Next is:
9" rear-end with 4.56 gears
700-R4 tranny (overdrive tranny, with sexy first low gear)
Original bucket seats
Chevelle SS Dash
We have all of it, just gotta put it all in now. _________________

Gurrg, first thing I thought when I read the subject was that you made a custom map for DOD called "Chevelle" and thought, cool, wonder what it will play like.......
Then I read your post and I have to admit that the car is pretty sweet. Sadly I will have to take it away from you, there is a rule that says you cannot have a car that is older than you are....Give it to an old fart like me or BRN, or even Roof but he is more into motorize wheelchairs now adays.......
Sweet ride sir _________________

Thanks
All of the work finally paid off. Freezing my arse off while installing the carpet in an ex-chicken coop, with no heating or insulation in the dead of winter at night...was the thing i remember most about it. Yes i'm very happy how it turned out, too bad i'm completely broke now.
The cops don't seem to like it too much. Already got an exhibition driving ticket. The car, whose is my brother's and mine, is just too much fun and couldn't resist, he wasn't even home for 24 hours and already got a ticket
That's the way it goes, thanks for the comments, lets me know it was all worth it. _________________

Schweet!
With that tranny/rear end combo, I'll bet it launches off the line like an RPG. _________________ Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell.

nah, sadly no 396, it's a 350, well 355 after boring it out, right around 300hp, for now. Although talk of building a big block is getting more popular. Just got the cowl inductin setup couple days ago...free Just no door for it yet on hood.
And Verman, yes that first gear is going to be fun. I'm for sure going to be broke once i get that in, won't be able to keep those fatty tires on there Wish i could get video on the net, did some awesome burnouts, not with new paint job yet, don't wanna mess up the quarters. _________________

right on gurrg sounds like your having fun whats a few sets of tires
was just curious cause your intake said 396 but u mentioned ss so thought it was the 454 ls-5.
and i`m no expert but i have been looking for a late sixty`s cougar / camaro/chevelle/mustang./oldsmobile 442 so all these ss/rs etc combos are bouncing around my head _________________
