I thought you would appreciate this. I graduated last week, and everytime someone in my family graduates, my grandmother gives each of us one of my grandfathers WWII artifacts. My dad got his dogtags and coat. My brother got his GI kit (all of the shaving stuff and etc). She gave me his binoculars, or I should say what she thought were his. So We were looking at them, and all I could think was that the case they came in did not look like allied colors. So I looked more into the binocs, and they are painted a color that looks like the panzers. I found out they were made by Dienstglas, and were given to German field officers. I just thought this was kinda cool, and here is a picture.

That is pretty cool. My dad has a French Bayonet that his grandfather picked up off the battle grounds during WWI. _________________
