CD Key Help

Hi, just wondering if anyone could tell me how to get the HL cd Key out of the registry. It's on Windows 2000 I believe, I don't know exactly cause it's a friends computer and he just called me at work and asked.

Any help would be great thanks,

should be in his registry files but if it was there then steam would see it.

You can use this program to find out the keys of an installed copy of HL.

BTW, you only need to post once. Two post aren't going to work better than one...

Yeah that worked thank you very much.

And sorry bout the double posting, but I saw the tech forum after I posted and was worried I'd get the ol' "Post in the tech forum" response.

Yeah we usually don't mind if posts are in the wrong place. Unless it's a question about DoD in the Ville Radio forum or something crazy like that.
