I thought they already were. At least, that's what I hear from people a lot is, "I'm moving to Canada because it's a lot better there." Yeah, there ya go, just go ahead and ruin Canada, then we all have to deal with a VERY angry JD and his guns.

In Oregon you have to have break away mailbox stands, so you would actually get in trouble, or open yourself up for a lawsuit with a concrete filled stand. Problem is, someone could accidently hit it and get hurt very badly. |

what blown said is true in Mississippi because there was a bunch of law suits by parents whose kids were drunk beyond belief but crashed into concrete incased mailboxes and sued the people who owned the mailbox so they just made a law that all new mail boxes either had to be behind your garage door or break away. Like i said we have those concrete poles in our yard and we worry all the time that someone will be killed or seriously injured but no one has tested them beyond that first attempt and nothing happened to him. Since that time we have kinda done something that allows the poles to move a little but from side to side to give way just a bit.

ok i finished replacing it...we got cheap stuff so it wasnt that hard. oh yeah and they didnt swing at it with a bat they threw a bag of rocks at it...the mailbox ripped apart all the rocks and i had to then pick up the rocks on my lawn...i swear im going to sit out until i catch them with night vision googles/ a nv camera/ and a paintball/bb/ gun with scope...that why when they try it again anywahere near me they are going to get a real nasty surprise  
and as for the concrete mailboxes i say if they try and take mine out and run into it they got what they deserved

speaking of just desserts...My friend while we were in high school reached out to slap a girls behind on a bike from the car while doing about 25 miles an hour...He hit the seat, nearly broke his hand...made the girl spin out...was that funny...since no one really got hurt to bad...

There is a big old black walnut tree right beside ours. It blocks any drunken teenagers fun at our expesnse from getting a bat on it. |

Why would you do it from a car?! You get much better aim and impact from just a normal standing position, trust potato there  ! |
