STUPID VIRUS

ahhhh

i get home from being on the road for a week, and i have a virus on my computer,....all it seems to do is put up an away message on AIM saying "OMFG www.angelfire.com/blahblahsomething"

its more annoying than anything, i tried to use adaware and it didnt fix it
i tried to cntrl +alt +delete and as soon as it pops up, it disapears.

i tried to run msconfig to see if it was in my startup tab, but that disapears as soon as it pops up also....

anyone know how to fix this?

What about a virus scan? You can try an online one if it won't come up.

I found a little info on it but can not locate a fix.

Try running spybot along side adaware.

Spybot should catch it. Other than that, a virus scan may do it.

i dont think me anti-virus caught it, maybe i should see if there is an update i can get...

whats the name of it? Sounds like you got the sasser worm or beagle worm.

You could d/l this to see if it finds it.

Make sure you go into prefrences and set it to scan all files and boot sectors.

I don know about yours but someone on the ville gave me a virus.

They did that one thread about this funny game. I clicked the link 5 seconds later i get popups
my mom comes and sees it and goes You got a virus. we go to microtrend/ www.antivirus.com and i got a trojan

Yeah you were supposed to click no when it asked you to install it. Make sure to read everything that pops up before clicking Yes...
