You going to use it for gaming, office, general use?
Gaming obviously being the most expensive. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

Just about everywhere you go, these are the top 3 that keep coming up for the best gaming laptops.
Dell
Alienware
Voodoo
I'd have to say Alienware or Dell. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

It wasn't THAT expensive. You may want to look at a Toshiba as well. It will be not as good for gaming as Dell, Voodoo, or Alienware but you'll save a ton of cheese. I think Stevo's got one of the Dells. _________________

It's really going to come down to how much you want to spend. Everywhere you look you'll see the XPS and Area51 got great reviews. The scores were pretty even, it really depended on the video chip that happened to be in them at review time.
Stevo will have to tell you about Dell support and what not but I haven't had any problems with Alienware, not even when Fed Ex stole my first one. They replaced it with very little hassle. _________________

I got a Compaq persario 3 years ago. It worked decent, I could play but my fps was about 15 - 20. It was cheap, about $900 (Pluse the waranty it was 1200, but the warranty was useless, if you want to know why ask me in game, it is a funny story) _________________ http://www.barbertonrhps.com - The offical Website for Barberton's West Theater Rocky Horror Picture Show in Ohio

Yeah like a few people have said, I got a Dell inspiron laptop. Works great for games and stuff or anything else you might want to do. You can choose how you want it and what goes in it. Never had to call them, so I don't know anything about their support...
BTW, don't get a Toshiba. _________________

Only thing is, I hate Dell, I used to have one and it was the most backwards thing I have ever used...other than the apple that once.... So I guess Dell has improved.... that Alienware is looking really nice though Does anyone else have or know someone who does? And what is the verdict? |

I think Rata has a alienware laptop, if I remember correctly, and loves it. _________________ P4E @ 4.00 Ghz, LeadTech 6800GT 420mhz/1.16Ghz, 1 gb Corsair PC 4400, Creative X-fi, Raptor
