Gentlemen, I have noticed a problem in some games and I thought I would post here to see if it helps.

If you need to go AFK, even if its only for a minute please do not do so in a high traffic area where your blocking the only entrance/exit!

I have been in far too many games where a person is AFK and blocking a door, window, trench, or other spot and other players cannot get past them to complete the objectives.

In the future I and other admins will be kicking such an individual person off the server so that the game can continue. Harsh? Mebbe, but if you need to go AFK tuck into a corner to do so.

On a similar note, please dont diliberately stand in front of someone to block their shots or otherwise cause problems for a player, thats poor sportsmanship. An example I have seen is a person who wants to be a sniper because they felt the other person who was a sniper was doing a poor job. That other player wasnt willing to give up his spot (and he shouldnt, if he is doing poorly the only place to learn to be better is in game) so the other person decided to stand in front of him, jumping up and down to both block and distract him as well as to draw fire from the enemy. This action is unsportsmanlike and breaks rule #1 (dont be an asshole). If we see it in the future chances are you will be kicked and more than likely banned.

Thanks for reading.

Also could you kick, ban, and firebomb the house of anyone who stands on top of the staircase of the allied side anzio bridge house sniping? I see this all the time in games and it's one of the most nubly and inconsiderate things a player can do.

You just have to prime a grenade and bounce it in there.

I think he meant that this player would then block the staircase.

Yeah, the snipers on our team who block the staircase. If FF was on I would shoot them in the back but since there's no way to do that you lose the ability to use the bridge house. Usually I don't see pros blocking though, most of the time it's newbies. Maybe you should slay them.

Or when someone is sprinting out the door toward you, don't go and try to get in. Obviously they want out and you probably would too if you knew about that primed grenade boucing around behind him.

Indeed. But just as a rule of thumb, you shouldn't stand right next to anyone at any time. If you're ever running anywhere together, back up a little bit so that you don't end up blocking him to his death the second trouble appears.

So, I've been playing DoD for just about 2 months now. I normally only play on Ville servers or Pie servers. I'm pretty much a n00b, but not an idiot.

I have been cussed out and harassed by people for doing things similar to this. Now, since I've been playing, just like everyone else, I'm not bad at sniping. I know how to strafe around a corner with a sniper rifle to pick of the MG or sniper camping the other side. (Good example: the church tower in Switch) It's a real pain in the ass to run up that hill, only to be naded just as I'm in position to pick those guys off. Shortly there after, get lambasted for being a "sucky sniper", and to "give it up". Also, in the instance where it's a choke point (like the Axis door above the 2nd flag on Avalanche) it's sometimes necessary to do that corner strafe. Yes, it does "block you" from getting out, but there are 2 other ways of getting out, or just wait a few seconds, I'm sure they'll move. If they don't, THEN you insult their heritage.

Also, I generally offer the sniper rifle up to those that I'm sure are better than I am, but if you start cussing me out, acting like a 3 year old that didn't get the toy you wanted from a Happy Meal, then I'm going to continue on happily with my sniper rifle. Even if I'm not doing very well. You can catch more flies with honey, than you can with vinegar.

I always love when playing on flash when you are tring to run to get to the middle flag first and the next thing you know a sniper drops prone right in front of you stopping you dead in your tracks and boom a grenade drops at your feet and now your both dead. I have seen more multi kills on that corner than in any other map. 90% of the is because there are 3-4 people prone there and you can't get through.

On a side note KRG is sexy when he is prone
