TV4 >> TV1

I found that many players feel the same as me on this topic, so as well post it here

TV4 is far better than TV1 for one single reason : class restrictions! Is there a chance that TV1 implement this? Donner is sooooo much fun when there's only 3 snipers and 2 mgs, opposed to 5 or 6 snipers per team of 10

Oh and btw, TheVille rocks!

That's been duscussed, but it's better to have each server with different settings. The server is usually full, so why change anything?

Yeah the games are much better on TV4. Sorry, but this game is not fun when 8 out of 12 people are sniping, except for the snipers themselves. I doubt if you made the class limits reasonable most people would complain... if anything you might attract more players to TV1 who are sick of looking for a good game only to find half the server hiding in a dark window with a sniper rifle out of fear of getting killed.

They will never change it unless people stop going to the server. I don't like it either, but half of the time there are good games on TV1. I used to play there a ton, until i got sick of those maps. That is why I play TV4 almost exclusively. It does seem like there is better competition on TV4 most of the time too. If they changed it to class restrictions, it would still fill up like it is now, and the people who just snipe a dark corner etc would be gone. Not much hope in getting it changed, but it isn't a big deal.

Variety people, it's called variety

If you prefer the class restrictions then by all means play on the server that has em. If you feel like sniping no matter how many are on your team then go to the other server.

Just because a few feel the way you do does not mean that everyone does, and I am not trying to put words into anyone's mouth either. Hell, I love the map caen but I seem to be on the minority. That is the easiest map for me to hunt down those fricken campers and beat em to a bloody pulp

I feel no ones playing should be restricted. I want you guys to start playing the other server so I can play some custom maps. No one is ever on to play a regular game. Lets setup a time and day that well play custom maps they are fun. Classes dont bother me people who get in my way or step beside me while im strafing and I cant get back around the corner is what I have a problem with. Oh and If im running away you should be too probably a grenade... Run on sentence booya

I love the Ville I and its lack of class restrcitions, if everyone on the opposing team is looking through a scope then they won't see me creeping up behind 'em with a shovel/knife

Can you dig up the post where I got called a "communist" when I did put class restrictions on Tv1? Thats no joke either.

Truth is tv1 did have restrictions at one time and I got nothing but complaints about it. Thats how we started both tv1 and tv4 off in the beginning and as time passed we set tv4 to have restrictions and tv1 to not have restrictions, just to have a little variety here. Thats why we have a few servers, for variety. If you dont like one try another I am sure youll like one of the other servers.

Since tv1 is most always full I am sure many other people like it also. Just because two servers are differnt does not make one better than the other.

As we set up and change our servers over time we dont just do what us server ops want to see, we do what the public wants. And spend many many hours listening to what you all want to see at TheVille and making the nescacry changes.

Trust me, its not easy to make everybody happy.. But we try.

I wish that TV I had the map vote feature at the end like TV IV.

Other then that, I play in TV I most often because TV IV seems to be having lag issues as of late.
