I just realised that I first found avantiville around exam time three years ago. :O. I think I first started playing at AV when, or slightly before we got our second server.
First villun I can remember ever playing with: sully (I remember he was playing spy D on avanti, I think)
I remember people spamming /skill after every round on avanti. I remember the kick ass ville christmas party we had either in '01 or 02, where we played fishburgers and turkeyburgers and some other fun maps for five hours straight.
I remember rushing to get a spot on the servers when they came online at 5:30 pm. I remember NSA vs PWG wars, and superzero's engy ownage on avanti. I also remember {E4}MikeRotch getting POTW for a month straight (p.s. your leetness turns me on mike)
I remember when we had six TFC servers and they were almost always full.
I remember when I wrote my llama guide, and when I used to whore the forums all the time. I remember sniping underwater in D3D mode and having cycomom get pissed off at me  . I remember the cycofamily wars.
I remember when JD used to be really really gay and would always snipeh00r all the time, oh woops he's still really gay, and he still always whores sniper nvm (<3 JD ).

i remember having to wait a few hours after i got home from school for the servers to go online... 24/7 servers?!?!?! pfft not back then!

True, back then it was a serious effort to get in a server! No nice 'connect to join' button either. It was a lot of console work...

Oh God, I remember the /retry....I used to have a system, I'd highlight "Join Server" on the old WON screen, and hit enter twice--once to try to connect to the server, and then once more to hit the "OK" button when the "Server is Full" screen would pop up.
I'd keep double-tapping Enter until I heard the "whoosh" sound...sometimes it would take me hours O_o
First Avanti experience I can remember was teaming up with Omega_Initiative to snipe down the tunnel leading to the Church...
And yeah, I constantly lived in fear of Svvord, EE, Bakuryu, and FragFailure himself :/

Yes those were the good old days, i remember frag's Vist? as i would be sniping with war pig & omega initive & frag always found a way to stab me in the back after i shot him, never failed to die after he said Visit?
All day avanti & it was always full, retry was the most typed consol command typed for me back then
Wish more people would get back into avanti 
Aug 15th in my profile doesnt do justice since we all had to sign up again on a forum change. I started tfc at avantiville & would have never played half-life as long as i have if it wasnt around
