Well, I decided to get an xbox yesterday for my b-day thats coming in June. Since I am a fan of Halo, it was cheeper for me to get the Halo special edition xbox, than to buy the original and get the game. But I had to complete it with Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, that was the real reason behind it.
Also, to those that own an xbox.... has anyone modded one? Have you added a chip with a new bios? I am looking into doing it because I found you can run MAME on a hacked box.
For those that know I am into the Arcade MAME world, I saw a website where a guy used his xbox to run MAME and never needed a PC in his cabinet. So, I plan on attempting it

| my only recommendation is to not even look at GTA: VC until you beat gta3. just trust me. |

I'll take the advice because VC is still in the box. I'll keep it there until 3 is done with.
And Sully, I didn't understand anything in my original post. It was just some stuff I copied and pasted to make me look like I knew what I was saying  NOt all of us can spend time with barn yard animals

my friend modded his xbox, hes got linux n everything on it and he rents games and copys em to his HD.
if you plan on getting a chip, id do the following:
get a bigger harddrive fer ur xbox to store more games
i dont know much about the different types of chips but its probably better to get the ones where u dont have to cut/sodder a couple of wires
and dont get xbox live they will find out u got a chip(but i havent been up to date with the chips so there might b a few where they cant find em and i know you can turn some off but i think they can still find off ones)
