Besides the BAR being messed up, the mp44 the sten and every other gun is wicked now. I never liked the sten before but I picked it up today, it's like a no recoil, perfectly accurate automatic headshot machine. It's just unbelievable how good that gun is now, I don't even have to crouch with it.

I haven't used an MP40 or Sten in months I don't think, I'll pick up a Tommy when I get on a good kill streak and run out of MP44 mags.

I've noticed that the MP44 is freakishly controllable now. My sensitivity is at 5.5 and I was nailing guys at K98 range easily - standing with full auto fire - from the top of the tower on Anzio. It hardly has any cone fire effect it seems, I'd have to say that it's better than the BAR. I actually dropped a BAR for an MP44 yesterday.

It is a headshotting beast. I'm so amazed that bullets go where I aim now. Lowering randomness was the greatest thing the dev team ever did.

Yeah the weapons do work better now. I find that I hit things that I aim at more often. That's part of the reason why it is hard to get used to.

Well the MP-44 actually was a wicked weapon, the first assualt rifle in history to be exact. Russians copied it, but the end of its muzzle did have a counter balance to it. Not sure if any of you have heard of it but the MP44 had an attachment called the "Krummlaufe" It was an attachment that hooked on the end of the barrel and could shoot at a 30 degree angle. Only problem was it was good for about 120 -200 shots. What's funny is they made them for tanks at 90 degrees.

Garand and Thompson = god though. I also noticed they slowed down the bolt again on the KAR. MP40 I havent notcied so much but the G43 BAR and Bren are nice, but I am mainly an axis player.

I liked the mp40 before, but I tried the 1.2 version for the first time last night and wow, I was amazed at how accurate it is. I'll be the mp40 hor for a while

Depends on how bad the server chokes. When the server starts choking really bad it seems like the only guns that are worth having are autos now, as the garand can still be lousy when you see everything in slow mo or when hitboxes don't line up exactly. In general this version of DoD seems to be very auto-biased, unless you've got a godly connection. Rifles are just not the beasts they used to be unless of course you camp in a window or something like that. It's about ten times easier to be aggressive with an auto now than it is to strafe around with a garand, at almost any range.

They slowed down bolts again?

I don't know, maybe that's why I kept trying to shoot them to soon...

I've got to use all the weapons in the game toget a feel for their new ranges and what not, they've been throwing my game off.
