Is anyone else having fps issues with the new UT2k4 patch? I was going perfectly before the patch, but now, I can't even move that well when I am not looking at a wall. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

wierd, I have a 9500 pro.
Try this
For you guys playing with DX9 cards you can now utilize DX9. Before it was only running on DX8.1. I noticed about 3-10fps increase myself at 1600x1200 with all settings at max, with no aa or af enabled.
In your ut2004.ini in the system folder change it to this.
;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
Make sure and dont select in the in game menu for redering device cause it will overwrite those settings. |

I have the 9800pro and haven't noticed any significant changes in the vid card performance either. I did notice that after the update that my hard drive needed to be defraged though. Not sure why but the patch seemed to move everything around or something. Silleh I know but after the defrag everything was good again. _________________
