SOAPBOX TIME: The Emperor and the Darkside clan

Frag gets out the soapbox...

This is a story of someone who takes himself too seriously. The Emperor is leaving the world of TFC and reincarnating himself. The clan Darkside also has apparently had some issues with the TVB guys lately. Well I decided to dig deeper about these guys. Here's The Emperors swan song post and some quotes out of it. YOU DECIDE. The quotes are The Emporer and FF: is me.

"Before the Darkside was founded, I met a man at Yoda's who would influence me greatly."

FF: Uh oh, A yoda server on TFC sounds bad. It should be a Full Metal Jacket server...I digress

"His name, as unbelievable as it sounds, was Lightside. He, too, played soldier; and for that day in 2fort everything else seemed to drown out around us as we battled. We were so evenly matched it was eerie.
After a few battles on that bridge of destiny, he gave me a parting sentence, "I shall see you again."
It was then I knew that I was given a purpose; I knew that Lightside and I would indeed battle again, and it was my hope to beat him this time."

FF: Is this about TFC or about the Jedi Mind trick? This ain't Star Wars and this is not a RPG. Get a grip.

"Time passed, and still on after the Darkside was created it was my only goal to become the greatest soldier ever. In my mind, I could picture my rival getting stronger, and I pressed on, devoting hours, days, weeks, all towards improving.
It came to the point where there was not much left in the way of a challenge."

FF: I hear ego! What happens to people at The Ville, BR, or The Hood with big ego's? BTW it's called a "Visit."

"Which brings me to the present. After some recent incidents, things that were triggered after the event at the Ville.org, I was enraged at a certain clan, who shall remain nameless."

FF: EMPIRE!? EMPIRE?? WTF? (You died stupid.) It's nice that you want to be the best, but Jesus more drama please.

FF: If you can't clear TVB's TYO (Thom Yorke Obliterator's) line@tm you will surely have problems going farther up the ranks. The TYO line stands for our average in TVB. You are either above or below the TYO line.

But they are all gone. and proceed to continue on what I started long ago. My new handle shall be kept secret, so no one shall be able to find me;

FF: Abondon your clan...nice leadership if I say so. You are just being selfish in my opinion.

In my absence, things are not bleak. I designed the Imperial system to fully sustain itself; while this quest was never in mind, I am glad the system allows me to do this.
Wolfwood has now taken his place as a recruiter for the Empire. He will handle all matters pertaining to new recruits.
Mailorder, and the newly returned Folken, are now ISB personnel; they shall be moderating the forums, and keeping a watchful eye.
Everyone else may carry about their normal business.

FF: Notice the words of "I" and "me" like I do? "Everyone may carry out their normal business?" ROTFLOL! You gotta be shitting me! So you get on this computer...you connect to TheVille.org (The best damn servers out there)...you come on and kill people (or get killed a lot)...wow...I feel so special now that I get the order to carry on...SIR, YES SIR! We in TVB are damn equal and damn proud of it. ALL 49 OF US (currently.) We play for a thing called FUN and don't take ourselves too SERIOUSLY! It's a damn GAME.

"I shall see you all when I return. Know that you are being guarded over,"

FF: Can you pass me whatever you are smoking?

FF: How about NOT abandoning them in the first place.

FF: ...from the insane asylum. Dude, I don't know if you are sick or an egomaniac or both. Maybe on your journey look in the mirror and see where your priorities are. They certainly aren't right as of now. TFC also does not go on any resume or I'd be making 6 figures just for forming TVB.

TYO is the average of TVB. TYO started this humourous measuring stick himself. Everyone above him is good...everyone below him needs to pass him fast.

Didn't you read any of Frags post. The TYO line is the measurement in TVB. TYO is the average line of TVB skill rating. So for example: I am below the TYO line, therefore I am one of the bottom feeders of TVB. Got it. Don't take it seriously, it's more of a joke then thing reality. I hope!

I too would like to know what the TYO line actually consists of? Some formula that fills about 20MB of plain ASCII characters?

Ok is it just me or if this was written in german would this guy sound like Hitler??

Now im probably one of the bigger starwars nerds out there and Ive got to say this is disturbing, I mean this guy actually thinks he is some sort of sith lord trying to take over the galaxy, Man George lucas would probably slap the hell out of this guy. Also whats this fetish with the ville with these guys? damn we must have really struck a blow to the great empire to warrant this much publicity. Sounds to me like somebody needs some positive reinforcement and maybe a hug. I think youve totally hit the nail on the head frag. People like this make it diffucult for people with lives to actually admit they love movies as bad ass as starwars. Man this guy is a tool in a half.

I think there has been a slight misunderstanding of the TYO line. Here is my understanding:

Anyone better than TYP is above the line and anyone worse than him is below the line. Now if and only if we follow TYO's recommended selection criteria of always inducting equal numbers of new TVB'ers above and below the line will the TYO line be the same as the average skill line.

Dang I am still waiting for that "tounge in cheek" smilie!
