Remember the days when it was $0.49 a gallon for gas 5 bucks and you were set. I remember getting paid and setting aside $10.00 for gas to last me 2 weeks. At thatr time I was driving a 1968 Firebird I was getting around 10 miles to the gallon. Now I put $10.00 in and I can go to the store twice and need gas again.

Currently $2.17 a gallon here

It's not a rumor and it will be nationwide. It is already starting to happen here in Vegas.

I remember those days too Simpleman. I also remember when my parents would buy a carton of cigarettes for under $5. If I'm not mistaken a pack costs that now.

Packs of smokes were 19 cents when I was a kid.

a pint of milk was .07 cents

gas was under a quarter and they had real gas wars and green stamps and blue stamps.

gum was a half cent each

carpenters lived in 20,000 dollar homes wives did not work, doctors lived in mid 60,000 dollar homes and their wives did not work either.

you could talk the neighbor into .50 cents to mow their lawns and edge it...with a push mower and hand shears! That 50 cents bought candy, a comic, cinimmon toothpicks, some gum, a pee shooter with 200 peas, and a couple of sodas....

now gas is going up and the cost of everything is skyrocketing...akkkk

No, it's because farmers can't afford the gas to truck their cows to the farm, and the cows got too tired to produce enough milk after being forced to cycle to the farm themselves.
