Yeah, it started with The Ville symbol and then had a count down with a semi-annoying series of beeps.  Then it showed a geographical map and each server name/IP would pop up from it's origin. There was music too I believe.
Only problem I ever had with the flash is that it loaded every single time you refreshed the page.  But, you can always hit "skip intro" and it does add character to the site.

The intro will probably get annoying after a while. 
Maybe make it just a link under server info or something.

It was on for a while back in the day. It never got annoying to me. If I was in a hurry to get to the forums then I would just click "skip intro"

As long as there are separate indexes so I can go right to a index2.php or something to skip the intro it's fine with me.

The layout is pretty good as is. But bringing back the games and post counts would be nice. Also a spell checker for the forums if PhP allows such a feature. Also in light off our lose of Blue a web page like this would be nice.
