Be prepared to get pwn3d when you start out. Try to go on when you see some names you recognize. They will help you out so you are not totally lost. It does take a little getting used to.

Ah, the Curse of the Noob. I'd listen to BRN; being a DoD noob isn't as tremendously painstaking as being a CS noob, but it's close. Learn how to control recoil and learn the maps. #Fade in

meh for a newb i pwn with snipers it must be a natural thing... and i look for familiar ppl but i see none

Yes grab a sniper rifle and hide in a corner somewhere then wait for Ten Yard to jump through the window and pow he is dead.

Best advice when you start out playing is to learn all of the map. Try every way, never get in a habit of going one way. On maps like anzio and charlie you should explore the underground passages and get used to the most direct routes to every place. Try every weapon out and find what you like. When you start out its best not to camp so you learn the map quicker.
