I like the chat thingy too. I usually don't pay attention to the post list, since all the different forums are are jumbled in together.

You could just read the ones on the front page. You don't miss anything or something, and you can quickly browse the latest subjects.

Yeah that's what I usually do. You can miss posts that are too old to be on the front page though if there are a lot of posts in one day.
