oh yeah i forgot about those cannons  i can understand using them when you are eating. but i cant imagine just sitting there pressing e for the whole time just to get kills. doesnt really seem like fun to me. |
Oh it is, it is. You just have no idea how much fun it is to listen to the allies cry and whine and call you names as you bombard their spawn area.
It might also add to the fun that I find that to be one of the worst dod maps ever created, along with charlie and zalec.

VP, you should try it as Axis. Being an FG42 hor, I quite enjoy it. It's one of my better maps.
You don't play Axis often/ever do you? |

| You can get huge streaks on donner as an axis sniper too, I got a 36 kill streak there. |

Sure I do. Heck, I have to be axis to use the cannon in the first place. However, I find that map to be extremely irritating on both sides. Allies have an incredibly tough time pushing up to thew cannons, let alone destroying them, and it's nearly impossible for the axis to bomb the bridge against an intelligent D. I gave up going on offense on that map after several rounds of being mowed down by mg's from the nests in the allied spawn area, and being cut down from 3 sides or more as I rushed as an allied soldier. I find the map's set up to be terrible, because you either have to have a stacked team or a lucky moment to even get close to winning. So far, I've yet to place a balanced game of escape where both sides are constantly fighting to control the middle area. It's always either domination, or one side is constantly blocking the other from advancing towards the middle.
BTW, I like to be axis on anzio, glider, and flash. I always try to be allies on donner and kalt.

Even when I don't play axis on escape I do pretty well. Its not hard to avoid the cannons. Even when I was playing against you on escape Ten Yard I did well. I got back to the cannon's twice. It was too bad that there were no satchels at spawn and I didn't find one off a dead body on my way there either time. Its funny that the map would be more even if they gave the allies more satchels. Most of the time people who camp take the satchels. That really makes me angry. |

I've been doing much better on allies on charlie lately. I've just been extremely careful getting off the beach. I usually take an objective, then just kill as many people from behind as I can. I think I've killed 18 in a row on charlie as allies, half of those with the fg42.  |
