| The kind of people who would cause more violence because they played a video game are the kind of people who would cause more violence because of any type of media or outside influence they consumed. There always have been nuts in society that do violent things to others and there always will be. Trying to blame video games, the violence shown in news, or that they were picked on in school is pointless. The only thing you can get close to blaming is the parenting. Its parents or guardians responsibility to make sure their kids know what is reality or make believe, right and wrong, and how to deal with stuff like being teased. BRN's son isn't going to become a psycho killer because I'm sure he has taught his kid that games are for entertainment only and not to be reinacted in real life and yada yada yada. |

and that is only if you are easily affected by it.
i've been looking at violent films since i was little, been playing these games for years, and still i haven't had a fight yet.
i rather walk away and let them laugh. the only thing some people are missing is some common sense.
what you need to ask yourself is: what will the fighting bring you?
bruces, broken bones and a nice bill of the hospital or the police.......
better to talk it out, and if they aren't mature enough to listen then just let it be, turn around and walk away. it ain't worth it..............

i dont know about some of that. I mean a lot of us here have more violent gaming experience than the average joe. just because i play a lot of violent games doesnt make violence more natural to me. you can ask keyes and the mrs. i'm a pretty non violent person. i know when to seperate gaming from reality. gaming is for recreation and that is all.

Yeah, well it really depends on many factors. These include a person's personality, the way they were raised, and a few other things. Like I said, if you are easily affected by the games, then it could cause violence. I'm probably one who isn't affected by the games much if not at all, which is probably because I don't take games as serious as some people do. So their are a lot of levels of gamers from the casual players, to the serious players. I think the type of player it is is a big factor in the effects of games on the player.

yeah i guess it does depend on the person. some people really do over react over such little things

all i can say is vtec should be a professor on violent games on society i mean he has more online time than most third world nations
