Most bears dont like being punched in the nose... they're sensitive about that...

well of course. the bear was gonna leave the kid alone but then the kid had to go and punch the bear. the bear couldnt just take that, i mean, all the other forest crestures would never let the bear hear the end of it. so the bear took a chunk out of the kid as pay back. then, since we all know teenagers are high in calories, the bear chased him around to work off its snack.
