To pull it off best, remove the clock from the taskbar BEFORE taking the screenshot, and hide the taskbar AFTER setting the screenshot as the background. Also, you can move the taskbar to a different edge and take a second screenshot, set that one as the background, move taskbar again, ss again, etc. and have 4 non-working taskbars to go with your icons.
Also, you can use the CMD window to create files or folders that contain the Alt+255 character (which appears as a space but isn't recognized by windows) and drive people nuts who try to open them. (Although I don't know if this works in XP since it isn't DOS-based, but merely emulates DOS.) _________________ -EvilGenius V$^PK

At my old job I took the screenshot of my Windows desktop and then using Paint, turned it upside down and made that my wallpaper. It looked kind of funky. I spent all my time on full screen apps, so I only saw it on startup. What was funny was when I had to get tech support out for some reason. The machine locked up and had to be rebooted and when the wallpaper came up the tech guy was like, "Uhh, I don't know what's wrong, I've never seen this." That might have been the same guy that when he asked for my password I said, "Bite me." And he said, "No really I need to have it to fix this." And I said, "No, really the password is b-i-t-e-m-e."
Another good trick with the screen print thing is to take a screen print of a webpage (particularly if you work with web applications like I do) and paste it into a blank slide in Powerpoint. Then you can make a nice slideshow of a sequence of webpages in Powerpoint. This has saved my bacon from having to do tons of demos of my app a bunch of times. And management loves Powerpoint presentations.

Look up at the menu of just about any Microsoft OS compatible program. . .each "hot letter" is underlined. ex File Edit View. Hit Ctrl+ the underlined letter and you will perform that function. In XP, I think the hotkeys are actually listed to the right of each action.
This my fav and most used hotkey;
Alt+Tab. .
Keep hitting Tab while holding Alt to cycle through open windows. Once you start using this function, you will never go back. _________________ Recipient of POTM award
