Ah, those were the days. I was in my 5th semester of Calc (Linear Diff Eq?), when I got up, walked out of class, and ran across the campus screaming something unintelligible at the top of my lungs.


I was released from the medical lockup facility after a 72 hour "visit".

Yeah, it will be my worst class next semester. Its a waste for me since I'm in electrical engineering but I still have to take it.

how does taking the cos of 30 degreeze help? it makes no sence, (then again we just did pretrig in my geom class so i guess ill have to wait to do this crazy looking maddness

If the wire were straight up, it would have half of the weight of the beam on it. But it isn't straight up, it is at a 30 degree angle from straight up. You know this because it says the angle between the wire and the beam is 60, and 90-60=30.

Just rember this for any math problem, "If your standard soulution of solving dosen't work, you can always resort to the pythagreon therom to solve all your problems, even physics!" yupp good old pythagerous
