my system32 folder has been launching at startup, this started to happen atfer i stoped some programs from starting when windows starts and they dident have anything to do with windows besides a "would you like to update your xp" icon. does anyone know how to fix this? _________________ R.I.P. my g/f had the exact same problem. im not sure what started it, but this fixed it.
run the program "msconfig"
click on startup tab and remove the item that corresponds to the folder opening. note that there may be multiple items that say "system32" in them. |

well i googled it and i found that its my soundcard driver and its got an extra space infront of it and theres a script to fix it or i can disable it.

first check the startup menu in your programs menu. make sure its not as simple as fixing a bad shortcut.
if its not there, well, open up registry editor (regedit.exe) and be careful - you can screw up your computer from here...
naviagate to the following key in the left pane
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
you should see stuff in the right pane. if you see your sound card program being loaded there, you can double click it and edit it to remove the space. if its not there, try the following location in regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
this should help. |

well its fixed now i found a site with over 600 scripts that fix your registry key and they had one fer my prob.
