Ok I know that spawn camping is not allowed on the ville, but I wonder about the logic in the rules for not letting people shoot down the ramp on Anzio. I can see why you wouldn't want people firing at the guys who spawn and who are just coming over the sandbag, but I have had admins randomly yell at me for shooting snipers who stand on the ramp trying to fire down on the bridge. Considering that you guys let people set up in the allied house and camp there, isn't it a bit unfair or even weird to not let the allies push back the axis on that spawn exit? It's not like they can't go around or chuck a primed nade up or something. _________________ the garand is fixed... horrayzors! |

Rule of thumb - if they're given enough time to move out of the way or shoot at you, it's probably not spawn camping (this only applies if you're not looking directly into their spawn).
To me, axis spawn ends when I can see their heads soming up the ramp. I've sniped from the bridge on to their guys coming up the ramp several times in the past, and no one had a problem with it (as far as I know). It does severely aggravate the other team though
2nd rule of thumb - If an admin tells you to stop, you should probably stop, even if they are wrong _________________

If they decide to stop at the ramp and shoot from there, then you can shoot back. Just do not throw any grenades in cause it will probably end up rolling all the way down the ramp. Just use your own judgement to whether or not you are shooting to far into the spawn. And you should listen to the admins even if you disagree, and you can always use the complaint department if you think they are wrong.

Well that's just it. Usually, I try and avoid shooting at people as they spawn, but on the ramp on anzio it's possible to fire at one player and have the bullet travel and hit the guys as they come over the sandbags. Normally I try and avoid firing at them until they start coming up the ramp, but sometimes admins get angry when I do that. This is sort of like Donner, where some admins throw a fit if you take the back alley with an MG 42 and start firing at allies as they turn the corner from the gate.
With the nades, I usually prime my nades so that they go off early, but what I have started doing when I play on TV is to throw my nades against the wall near the top of the ramp on Anzio, so that this way they go off right near the exit. I usually respect what the admins tell me though. _________________ the garand is fixed... horrayzors! |

Oh I thought you meant the axis ramp. You probably want to try to avoid that area. You can use the path to get to the laundry, but don't hang out there for too long. _________________

One of the cases that you speak of, I was running by the ramp bottom (was heading to the other spawn exit) when your grenade comes down the ramp and kills me.
Just be careful with those grenades.

Let me touch on a few of these concerns.
Don't put yourself in a position to even look down the axis ramp. You don't have to be there. If you are running for their first flag and get shot at then you have every right to fire back and attack. If there are people camping at the top of their ramp then you have every right to attack as well. Once they stop then they are looking for a target so you can defend yourself.

This is spawn camping and not allowed. If an admin sees it he should be putting a stop to it. It doesn't matter how many exits there are to the respawn area. 2. DON'T Build SG's, infect, or hang out at enemy respawns. _________________
