I was completly puzzled all night... and i finally figured (googled) my way to the answer....

I could think of these 2 shows...

One was a show were there where 2 cat that worked in a junkyard and drove jets and wore black and purple uniforms...... Turns out it was SWAT cats.... I watched the show somewhat as a (somewhat young kid) but not as much as the other....

I remembered the second one as have 3 guys in suits that they could attach wepons and armor too to become like 3 man-mechs, one was sea, one land and the other air.....

I couldn't think of the title for the life of me.... so I looked on google for a list of every 80's and 90's cartoon, and found it... it was the ***king >Centurions < Click... and also click this link for more pics from the show.....http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/605.html

god darn, now at least i can sleep..... Stupid hair bear bunch and the banana splits... too..... damn them all...

Well the show you speak of, I too remember, was Bravestarr. It originally aired in 1987 and here is a summary of it.

Quote:
Bravestarr was a futuristic wild west marshal that is fast with a gun. His horse could transform into a human-like creature, being able to stand on it's hind legs and talk and help Bravestarr fight. When there was an obstacle in the way, Bravestarr called for the power of a particular animal and used that ability to move the obstacle, like using the strength of a bear to move a boulder, or the speed of a puma to catch the criminal, the eyes of a hawk, or the ears of a wolf. The main villain, Tex-Hex had enchanted guns which could stun, kill, or turn people into half man, half animal creatures called 'Dingos'.

I remember most of those cartoons...and they all sucked...The only cartoons I can remember enjoying during my kindergarten - 2nd or 3rd grade years would be power rangers (original cast and machines), arthur , wishbone, rugrats (first ones that were badly drawn and had some better storylines), rocko's modern life, animaniacs...there are some more that I could name, but I can't remember if they were aired at the time, or if they came on a couple years later.

edit to include tiny toons and mention that any form of looney toons ruled as well

Three of the best cartoons, IMO, are ThunderCats (go snarf), Gummy Bears (Bouncing here and there and everywhere), and Duck Tales (they had some great adventures),

You can't forget Dark Wing Duck(Let's get Dangerous!). I loved watching the spiderman and x-men cartoons saturday mornings on fox.

I remember watching Power Rangers in the first season it was ever on. I was in 3rd or 4th grade then I think. I don't know what I was thinking.

Hmmmm, apparently my age is showing cause all I remember for cartoons when I was young were the basics. Things like the Loonie Tunes characters - Bugs, Tweety, etc. The old Spyderman stuff......Hmmm, Johnny Quest comes to mind.

Non cartoon related, anyone remember Hammy the Hamster? I wonder if he is related to our own Hamese?
