No one respects the nailgun...

The nailgun is my favorite weapon to use. Hardly anyone else ever uses it though. It's an extremely effective weapon, despite what anyone else thinks.

I play scout and soldier the most, but when I'm a scout, I always use the nailgun. I'm almost as effective with it as I am with the rocket launcher. It's a great weapon if you can calculate a lead.

I was just playing on shortbus and I was totally spanking a soldier with it. He kept running back to respawn though.

Give the nailgun a try, guys.

I don't have anything against nailguns. I just use them for taking out sg's. I usually don't play classes with nailguns unless I'm a medic.

hell yes i respect the nailgun! have you tried it against a HW guy?? it rips them apart! just make sure you circle-strafe around him, and you'll bring him down in a matter of seconds. they whip ass against sg's too. i always use the thing to take out sgs. they have an amazing range! i think the best nailgun user has got to be Cycodad.. he brings me down with that thing in like 2 seconds. my favorite weapon against other people has got to be the super shottie tho.

That nail gun has gotten me past BIG messes before.Have you ever had that chance encounter where you run up on not one but two sg's in the same area usually stopping just short of being gunned down like Billy The Kid,I have an i usually just freeze like just | | away from being shot.that nail gun has one shot at a time taken an difused a situation like that a handful of times.I praise the nail gun and the Super NG |range,accuracy,quietness,ammo count| those make them quality weapons.

I jus got done playing in a game where I was spy and I used the nailgun more than I did anything else! Lots of sg's in that game and withthe nailgun at your side you'd think it was christmas morning!lol I definitely respect the nailgun, it's a great weapon.

Superng if they are standing still or they don't know you are behind them, shotgun when they attack or run. If you are a med, kit first except to other meds. They superng is great when you are straffing but if you try to go toe to toe with the supershotgun using the superng, you will lose.

I get most people with the superng because I'm shooting them before they even notice I'm there. When I do my Engy/Medic/scout weeks I am almost always first on number of Superng kills and nailgun kills. Very underrated weaqpon IMO. I get a rush of adrenaline circle straffing a HW to pieces

I get a big laugh when some nailgun weilding crazy comes at me when I'm HW thinking they're going to do something with it to me. They might as well throw it at me, it'd probably be more effective that way. The only reason I'm cautious of medics is their ability to infect me.

The only time I use the nailgun is to kill Sentry Guns quickly at a distance so I can go in and cap the flag, and sometimes get a cheap kill off someone who's almost dead and standing still.

But the nailgun is extremely useful for back attacks with a scout. Aim for the head and they will drop quick. (Unless it's a hw. that will take a good 10 seconds.) I am the nail gun champ on turkey burgers, too. All those snipers shall feel my wrath. Muah ha ha.

Personally, I play a class almost exclusively until another one interests me. I always play scout though.

As for hw guys, oh boy, you'll start getting afraid of my nailgun after I conc you and circle strafe you. I've killed several hws like this.

Well, that depends. I've been conced as a HW, and had a medic circle me with a super NG, and i still killed him first. It's all about knowing the dizzy 'pattern'. Get that and concs have almost no effect, and a scout circling a HW... well, we all knows what happens to that scout.

Well, scouts are much faster than medics, so a conc would be more effective.

I also do little dodges in my circle strafing, I don't just to complete circles.

Side note: I have the most nailgun kills right now. (61)
