Though I've almost always prefered the book over the movie, if you're looking for some good books to read then The DArk Elf Triolgy and The Icewind Dale Triolgy are really good. They consist of a total of six books (Homeland, Exile, Sojourn, The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver, and The Halfling's Gem). They're written by R.A. Salvatore and if you couldn't tell by the names, they're fantasy books.
I don't know...maybe they would make a good movie/movies if enough effort was put in them.

Timeline by Micheal Chrichton would make a good movie. Or Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy would kick ass too.

I think we just did this. . . .well mine is in another post but I want to know something. Have any of you ever seen a movie titled "Hawk the Slayer"? It is my second all time film. I got a copy the other day from movies unlimited. It's out of print but I was able to get it there.

Yes, rainbow 6 would make an excellent movie. I doubt that the game follows the movie at all. I've played rogue spear but not rainbow 6 and it has very little to do with anything related to rainbow 6.
The book is awesome. All of the characters have so much personality... It was cool when the sniper intentionally missed so the terrorist would die a slow and painful death for what he did. |

I am gonna have to go with Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind or Chasing Cezanne by Peter Mayle. Terry Goodkind is an amazing writer of Fantasy. Peter Mayle writes light hearted capers set in the heart of Provencal France. I think any of Mayle's books would be fun movies, along the lines of The Thomas Crown Affair. Nothing crazy or deep, just good clean fun movies...

I would like to see a movie where 15 average computer users have to upgrade from windows 98 to xp and keep their print server operating. I don't think the movie should go over ummm 25 or 30 hours. |

i think Mark Z. Danielewski's "House Of Leaves" should be made into a movie. it'd be a really really long movie, but it'd be kickass. the book is really great and freaky as hell. |

I know that this is not from a book, but I would like to see an Office Space part 2. Office Space was great and it really hit home of how true it was. Also did you guys hear that the MPAA says that New Line productions cannot use Goldmember in the title of the new Ausitn Powers movie. They are having to redue all the trailers and posters that they have already put out everywhere. |

Hehe, to those who enjoyed Rainbow Six: If you haven't already, you should give Clancy's earlier books a read. I kinda think his books were better when he had the Cold War to write about (back when the USSR was a formidable enemy lol).
My favorite was Patriot Games simply for the final scene at the Ryan estate. I also reccomend Debt of Honor. Ah hell, read 'em all!
