Give me my rifle a couple hundred rounds, a few grenades, a medic, 2 HWGuys, 2 engineers, 2 spies, a pyro, a soldier and an airplane ticket to Kabul. I'll help wipe some smiles off thier faces.
God bless America!

After doing my usual morning stuff getting ready for school I get into my car to go to school. I turn to the local talk radio show as I normally do WBAP. This was about 8:33am. The first thing I hear is that a plane had plowed into the WTC of NY. I was shock unable to simply back out of my drive way for a few minutes. I finally get on the road and get to school and dart to the commans area were the area is already getting packed around the TV. I had missed the second hit as I had walked from my car to the building. I just couldn't believe. Then as I was about to go to my class I hear everybody say "Another one oh my God". Oh course this was the plane that had crashed into the Pentagon. These moments well always be with me. I am glad to see the TV Regs from NY to be ok and my prayers go out to all the families. I hope God gives Wuba the wisdom and guidance to led this GREAT nation through this horrific time. As Llama Beans has already stated, these extremist Islamics will not stopped until we stop them. They see the US as the major obstacle to the Muslimization of the world. I know that not all Muslims are like this. If my country needs me in what could be an ugly 4th Arab war then I will be there in some capacity to serve my country and to fight for my freedoms that are so dear to me. Just to let ya'll know. If ya'll did not see Col. oliver North on Fox News then I will tell you what he said. Col. North of course is retired, but still has buddies in the Pentagon and Intelligence community. What he could relate from conversations was that the US had possible confirmation on Bin Laden giving orders for 50 members of his group to go to the US and Hijack some commercial jets and to do what we all couldn't think any human being could possibly do. Call me a Hawk call me a radical conservative, but as far as I see War it is. To all those that belong to the Arab community or are of Arab decent. Please tell these extremist that what that are doing will not only not get them into Heaven, but is degrading life. These people do not care how many or who they kill. They even kill their own with no consceince. I will stop now before I say something that I will regret.
Yours in Brotherhood

Yup, strange indeed. I read up on some more follow up posts on my own news server, and it seems many people did indeed contact the FBI, who as we all know, have the ability to trace just about anything over the Internet.
On slightly unrelated note, Anybody here read Tom Clancy??
If you do then I think you know what I am alluding to, and that is Debt of Honor/Executive Orders. Two of Clancy's many great political/war books. Yet another eerie coincidence. |

People of Aville....
As I stood at the stern of the boat I work on and looked up at one of the enduring symbols of this great country, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, I was filled with an overwhelming sorrow for the those who have lost loved ones and companions today.
I look to you, my cyber friends, as well as my family, for the sense of community needed to deal with this horrific tragedy. Many of your posts have been a comforting read, and your heartfelt emotion is warming the chill that clutched at the heart of this shaken American.
When I walked into work tonight, the first thing that I heard was that my place of business was being inspected by St. Louis PD because of a bomb threat. I'm afraid that the World Trade Center and Pentagon tragedy is only the beginning....
God bless you all and....
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Sully/Dan Sullivan:
I am having a hard time seeing my monitor screen after reading your post. My eyes are burning from the many tears streaming down my face.
We must protect our freedom, no matter what the cost. I feel this is one aspect of American life we cannot live without.
God bless America

My cousin has a Moslem Afghanistani neighbor who owns a little store and she's terrified for her safety and that of her kid now. Though they are naturalized American citizens, her fears are well-founded I believe. She's closed up shop and is staying at home in fear of venturing outside.
It's been on the news that this is our generation's Pearl Harbor but with that comes certain lurking dangers too in that statement. Remember the internment of Americans with Japanese descents? We cannot make the same mistake again of generalizing whole races or religions in our pursuit of these madmen. To blame Islam as a whole is also reckless. In every benevolent religion (Islam included) there are fanatics unfortunately who taint its teachings and bastardize its core beliefs. Even in the case of Timothy Mckvie, who was Christian, his religion played little part in his hunt. So I would like to advocate prudence and caution in laying blame on race and religion alone in our search for justice and punishment of those animals involved.
View these criminals for what they really are - cowardly freaks of nature who cower behind a shield of religion to terrorize and murder innocents in order to advance their perverted causes.
May they burn in hell.

I couldn't agree w/ you more, Munkey. Like many of you, I spent most of yesterday glued to the TV, trying to sort things out. I prayed for those killed, those trapped, and those who lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy. But now I also pray that we don't let anger cloud our judgement. Those responsible for this will pay dearly for their actions, in this life or the next...that much is certain. But we can't overgeneralize...we can't assume that because a radical wing of a larger group did something this horrible, that the entire group is behind their actions. We are dealing with madmen and cowards: madmen because they were willing to kill themselves in a reckless attack aimed only at promoting terror, cowards because they refused to aim this attack at those who are capable of defending themselves. Innocents are dying and suffering, and our enemies are dancing in the streets. But I pray that America and the world as a whole does not stoop to the level of these honorless terrorists. If we run around carpet bombing everyone we suspect may have harbored terrorists, intentionally or unintentially, we WILL kill as many innocents. Let's take revenge, but let's take it on the guilty. If we destroy the innocent as well, then we've lost our principles and our honor...and isn't that what separates us from this scum? It seems to me that if we lose that, we've lost all that we stand for...and there will be nothing left to defend.
All of you who have suffered are in my prayers...to those who are still unsure of their loved ones safety, I truly wish I could say something...anything...that might ease your minds, but I know that anything I write here would be nothing...I just couldn't find the words. Just know that your country, and in fact, the world, is behind you. By God, we will show these cowards that we will not be intimidated, and that we will not allow ourselves to sink to their level. We will show them what it is like to be Americans. And we will show the world that fear can never triumph in the face of unity.
God bless.

I'm in NJ and the smoke is still visible here. My Uncle and Brother-in-law were downtown that morning but were unharmed. I had a friend who was visiting a firm on the 35th floor of first tower when the plane hit. Thank God he escaped and was 6 blocks away when the building collasped. My wife's co-worker's brother was on the plane from Boston that hit the tower. I'm torn between sorrow and hatred. My hope is that the responsible parties (and their supporting governments) will find out that the USA will not take this sitting down.
on the side, I was so stressed yesterday that I needed to play with my brethen last night to relax. I could NOT beleive what one person (handle: Black Dragon?) starting saying while we were playing in the ville. Don't know if it was sick joke or if they meant it but I was popping vessels. Thank You Llama_beans for banning that A-hole.
My prayers to all who died and to the families that must carry on.

Like i said before, I feel great sorrow for what happened to the American people yesterday, tens of thousands of innocent human beings died in a senseless terrorist attack. But why is it that most of the Americans that I talk to are suggesting that we nuke other countries in an act of retaliation? How will more bloodshed solve the problem? How will killing more innocent men women and children help america? I hate watching people in afghanistan and iraq cheer over the fact that innocent americans died, but nuking them won't solve the problem. Alot of them don't know any better, they have been brainwashed by communism, and many of the religious extremist groups who preach against democracy. I am sorry to admit it but if America nukes another country, killing more innocents, I will lose respect for America, because you will only be sinking to the level of the terrorists who commited this horrendous act. I say we only use nuclear weapons in a last resort act, not a first.
I am sorry if i offended anyone, and i am sorry if I rambled on in this post but i am still shocked about the destruction of the twin towers and the murder of thousands upon thousands of innocent human beings
