Everyone knows what an easter egg is for programs... Auto-cad has some really neet ones...
Well Here is one from Google....
Try this very soon, before someone forces Google to fix its site:
1) Go to www.Google.com
2) Type in the words, "weapons of mass destruction". (DON'T hit return)
3) Hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, NOT the "Google search"
4) Read the "error message" carefully. Someone at Google has a sense of humor.
No it is not bad... or illegal... just poking some fun at the war, I would guess!!
Have a Great Day!!! Be Your Best!! _________________

Wow, funniest thing i've seen in awhile. I don't think they put it there on purpose. Its not apart of Google's site. It just comes up with "weapons of mass destruction" more than any site (if that is how the are you feeling lucky button works). |

Yeah, the im feeling lucky button just brings up the first item found in the search. After the next webcrawl that google does, it might be different. _________________

Actually, it has to do with the number of links that are created on different sites with certain key words in them. So, when you put the link in HTML you can make a long hyperlink display as a single word or phrase. If enough different websites use the same set of words or phrases with a link to a site, Google's search engine ranks it as high on its search criteria. The folks on Slashdot recently used this technique to link "litigious b@stards" to the SCO Group's website. (Replace @ symbol)
But the Google people do have some funny stuff of their own on their site. Check out the Language Tools area sometime. You can have webpages translated into Pig Latin or Hacker.
Perhaps we should start a campaign to get theville.org linked to some cool phrase. With all the people running websites that hang here, it might be doable.
So, what's a good phrase? Something complimentary like, "awesome gaming" or more like "got fragged"? Maybe, "cheetur!"

I think the best phrase to use would be "Kill Blue" |
