I am in the first thread of this, but I will add to this one for the newcomers.

I think I can relate to pretty much everyone here. I am 22 year old Network Administrator for a large Insurance Company. For all the hockey fans out there, I used to play Houston hockey, otherwise known as street hockey, roller hockey, etc. We do not get snow down here so ice hockey is expensive.

For the music people out there, I play in a worship band for our church. If anyone listens to that let me know because Texas is hugh on leaders. Anyway, I am a bass player, but I can also play guitar, piano, and love the drums. I have a set of V-drums in my room I crank up. Snagg knows what im talking about.

Something I would bet I am alone on is that I am a volunteer Firefighter for a department in Houston. I love it, and think it is awsome to help people out who are destrought when their house is on fire. Hince why I like playing pyro (but who doesn't) Oh yea, Im engaged too. To finish it up I also am restoring a 1979 Corvette.

Movie: Gladiator
Band: Matchbox 20
Book: Im with Tommy Chong on this one, any of the Left Behind series books that I have read.

I love my dad's V drums. He and I both play at our respective churches. I prefer to play an acoustic set though. Can't beat the real thing.
{edit} Forgot these
Favorite Movie(s): STAR WARS; Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; or Fight Club; or American History X
Favorite Band(s): Radiohead, Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5...and the list goes on
Favorite Book(s): Dune by Frank Herbert, anything by C.S. Lewis, Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Postman by an author I can't remember at the moment...much better than the film, Starship Troopers by Robert Heinline...again, much better than the film.
Favorite Game: Dark Forces or TIE Fighter. The two first *real* video games I ever bought.
Favorite Admin: Probably CyCoDad...he's one tough cookie under that candy coated exterior. Hey, he has 6 kids and CyCoMoM has more birds than a human should probably ever own.

I have already posted in the other thread and in an earlier thread back in the Clarkgraphics days.

But I just wanted to post in response to or good friend Whybkuul. Keep your head up man. You are to young to go worrying about that girl. I not saying that you shouldn't try to win her back. But take a breather first. Being single for a little bit maybe good for you.

I know I am not any type of counselor or anything, but throw the idea of suicide out the door. You are just getting started in life and have much to discover and learn. Maybe you even need a change of venue. Move to another state, get a new job. Whatever just remember life is to short as it is. Use your time on earth to the fullest. Use the body that God gave you to have fun and to do good.

Alright enough said. Whybkuul make sure if you need to vent or talk come here imediately. I am sure that you will find many here with a good listening ear. With the range in ages I think somebody here can give you good sound advice.

I am a 22yr old soon to be 23(hint hint BD Feb 22 hint hint). For my BD do you guys think ya'll can stop fragging my a$$ for at least one round of Avanti. I am on the 7 year plan of college. Going to transfer to Univ. of TX at Arlington in the fall to persue a BA in Business in Finance and Real Estate. I am a Project Manager by day for a small Tech Start-Up and a lowly Computer Operator by night for the Baylor Medical Center at Irving(3rd shift).

Other than TFC, I am still active with Boy Scouts and a fond dark beer drinker. I am soon going to be starting my first foray into stock day trading fairly soon. So wish me luck. As far as music goes I like Rock and Classical(I have been playing the violin since 5th grade).

Wow, so many musicians here. And computer people. It's like we're all the exact same person.

Check the old thread if you really care about my job or age. Here's the short version: 30-ish computer guy.

I'm a guitar player, and also play bass, keyboards, drums, and can handle a bow. Wish I had the room/$$$ for a cello. You drummers have the V-Drums . . . . guitar players have the POD! Software amp replications in a little box. Not the ultimate in tone, but huge fun for the money. For a real amp, I'm hooked on Bruce Egnater's stuff.

Fave Movies - The Graduate, American Beauty, any Japanese movie with a big rubber monster
Fave Music - Radiohead (really!), Beastie Boys, Tori Amos, Clash, classic rock goodies (Beatles, Who, Zep, Bowie)
Fave Authors - Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett
Fave Games - Warcraft II, Resident Evil series, THPS
Fave Admin - Kilaak Kommander. He's soooo evil, and nobody uncovers more cheeters.

And a new category . . .

Fave Roller Coaster - Superman: Ride of Steel (Six Flags New England), Wildcat (Hersheypark)

A real amp?. . . Hmmmm. .. Well I currently use a Sovtek Mig 100 tube amp. It's a soviet made replica of a '69 Marshall. I love it! When those tubes heat up, you get some serious crunch! Floor peddals? I use an old Digitech RP5, Crybaby Wah, and a Sovtek Big Muff Pie II for extra crunch! It's all pushed through a Crate road cabinet that I have stuffed with four 12" Celestians. A real guitar? I myself have always gone for the classics. I currently enjoy a '93 Fender Strat with EMG pickups. Soon, I hope to purchase a '69 Gibson SG!

I still have an old set of drums from my drumming days. It's an old beat up Tama Rockstar Series 15 peice! WOOT! It's stays apart locked in it's case. Just no room to pull it out right now. Music soothes the soul and expands the mind! So jam on!

The Drop Zone at Fiesta Texas. It puts your stomach in your throat! I rode the Tea Cups at Disney with a severe hangover. Not a good idea.

I remember I first started this thread a loooong time ago in the old forums that we unfortunately lost when we moved to this one. But here goes...

Name's Gerard. My nick is actually the email addy of this girl I used to date. I'm 29, working as an Applications Engineer at a startup company in Silicon Valley, CA. Used to work at Adobe System as a Business Developer but got lured to the startup arena by the big bucks and stock options (worth less than peanuts now). I've got a great g/f who let's me indulge in my daily dose of TFC and who bears with me as I rant on about all those llamas I've met in-game.

I enjoy high performance driving on the road tracks and I own a modified Audi S4 and a project 613-rwhp Supra Twin-Turbo which I do my laps in. I'm about halfway in getting my private pilots license and I enjoy traveling (backpacking) to countries in South-East Asia, Middle Asia, Eastern/Western Europe, Western Australia (sorry OmegeSin, Kronic, haven't made it to Sydney yet!).

Favorite Movie: Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Favorite Band: englebert humperdink
...
Favorite Admin: Hmmmm, that's a tuffy...
Favorite Band (REALLY!): None, I like all sorts of music actually, from jazz, punk, alternative, classical, rock, etc...
