I saw a post somewhere that the ville might get a BFV server...any update on this...btw i might be able to hook regs up with a ventrillo server so we can all chat in game.

I need to get Ventrillo or Teamspeak.... never used either.... any input as to which is better and why?

We tried a BF server before and it failed. It looked like Avantiville does now. Empty 24/7.  poor hammernanners. I don't see BF happening here again anytime in the near future. But you never know!
Plus, we have Half Life Rally coming out this Sunday night and three servers will become HL Rally servers.

BF failed here due to lack of time to maintain the server. I think a Ville BF server could work if the bandwidth and maintenance were to be sufficient. There seems to be enough villuns that are playing that game

It's a shame that this community seems to have a reluctance to move to a game that is not HL based. There are alot of great people out there in the BF:V world that would love to have a place such as this to reside!

I didn't have the game then. It was still kinda new and not everyone had gotten around to getting it

True I tried to find the BFV server the week the game came out but it had been taken down already.

Ventrillo is amazing...it is a better than a phone call..and with the older client and older server running up to 40 people can be on it on diff channels at once. Ask Frag..we have used it to chat because it is easy and high quality.
BTW find the client that is one step older than the current one. That is because the current one only allows 8 people to be connected at once (they are getting greedy like valve).

I play where I ping best and can connect. No specific server yet. I haven't found a home for bfv yet.

The BF server that theville used was a new release and it ran like shit. The server is much, much better now...

The server the Ville used was Munkey's server in Boston. I think it was in Boston. MunkeyEye has been really really busy will real life issues for a long time now. There was nothing wrong with the server, he just had no free time to maintain a server.
