ok....i tried to enable the fast map downloads for TV7 but it doesnt work
i set sv_downloadurl to "http://tv7.theville.org/custom_content/"
and as you can see by going there, the link is valid. problem is it still downloads the normal trickle way. i tried restarting the server and same problem. any suggestions? |

also IIS logs show this, for example:
2004-04-08 02:07:45 64.175.249.117 - 24.234.24.67 80 GET /custom_content/maps/dod_saints.bsp - 404 Half-Life
so half life is connecting to the web server, but IIS is just saying the file doesnt exist...WHY?!?!? ITS THERE!!! |

You know I'm refraining from comment...
Anyway I didn't research this, and im 99% sure you can tell me this aint it, but the HL download goes over a different port that the IE download. And as I sit here an type this I relize that port would for HL would be the same used to play on the server... so nm.
What about the underscores in the URL. HL maynot handle them well... its a thought. _________________

if you try to access the server through the ip address 24.234.24.67 you can't access it. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |
