OMG You just solved why I've been having such a craptastic ping of late...I just went and checked what my connection was at and for some reason Steam had changed it to Modem 33.6k. WTF? Why did Steam do that? |

Just wondering if thats what its supposed to be since Im on cable

Is there not a "DSL" selection? Cable would fall under that speed most of the time... It is a little faster than the ISDN.

I have to turn my cl_updaterate to 10 to avoid choke, and I still choke at times.
ISDN: rate 5000
DSL/ cable: rate 7500
LAN attached to something wicked fast: rate 9999 |
