in the video settings, turn shadows off... you can leave light map on if you want.

Also in sound, make sure you are using the 2d driver, not the EAX or whatever it is called.

go there, read post. When i played BF1942 it took me 5 min+ to load a single map which pissed me off big time. I was loading more than playing but after reading this tweak guide, it greatly increased loading tmies.

Luckily I have made many friends here at the Ville.

I called up Psychotic on the phone and he walked me thru a few settings and tweaks and now it seems to be working. He showed me how to work some controls and how to show my framerate in game, which was at about the 200fps range. Thx a bunch for your time sir, you definately know your stuff with this game

Thanks for the help guys. Most of the advice given helped a little bit for each one. There were just a few things missing that I finally got worked out.

Would I recommend the game?? I paid $30 for it. For that price it is NOW worth it. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to get it to work

200 fps is amazing! You could probably jack the res 1 notch.... but it is working, so why mess with it!

Now we need to get you flying the Cobra.... although the trip head first into the water was kinda fun!

fps 1
type that in the console, then hit F8 to make the comm bar go away.

The average FPS is the middle number in the brackets.
