They're a relatively new addition to TheVille DoD servers. Why'd you decide to bring them into the servers?

They've been on there for a few months now. They go away when people join. There have been discussions on this and it has been decided that they benefit the server more than if they were taken off.

They been on tv1 and tv4 for a very long time. Since steam was released. They been on tv5 for a few months too.
You may see them at a map change for a minute or two to fill out the server then they drop. Basically when the map changes the bots think there are no players on the server then when the clients come back the get kicked. You will also see them if the server pop goes under 10 players.
There has been a few posts about this. We use them to draw players to the servers in the off peak times. Like early morning or when steam decides to have a bad day or a server crash. Helps alot. You wont see them on tv1 or 4 often since they are usually over 10 players.

| yeah. bots hels. although they do cause some issues with amx (in my experience) but i think they are more good than bad. |

I can vouch for this, as I was on the server yesterday through the night and then through the morning :p we played a map and a half with the bots and then BOOM like a light switch turned on the server was full again to 26 :p this was at like 3am :p
I still haven't gone to sleep :p
I don't know how much longer I can last witout sleep...I woke up yesterday at like 7am...now it is a day later...after some math I have been up for around 41 hours...I think...24 (7 am to 7am) + 17 hours from there to now...= 41 I think ;p
anyways :p |
