game probs

whenever i try to leave a server or a game my game freezes i dunno what the problem is but it has only happened after i reformated my comp b4 i had no probs but now i have to shut steam down and end processes cause my stupid games stop responding

any help would be appreciated

Well, this has been happening to alot of us since the last steam update. It happens about 90% of the time no matter if I hit quit, disconnect or use console and type quit. It's now ctl alt del and reboot just about every time. Have been reading the steam forums and have not seen any thing to correct this as of yet. Someone did mention about binding a key to quit, have not tried that yet but will. This is one reason I have not been playing as much. Go steam #Fist

Same problem here. Even if you use the quit key or bind one it still happens frequently.

argh! can't Steam ever do anything right! and i wish they'd at least try running Steam once on thier own machines before releasing these updates, the problems are so obvious if any of the Valve team just jumped in a game and tried leaving it.

anyways, to summarize through all the links and re-redirects in the forum threads that SilverOne posted...Valve has acknowledged that they know of this problem(which is a surprise in its own) and say that a temporary fix is to close Steam, delete file SteamUI.dll [found in C:\Program Files\Steam], and load Steam. it should update that file. Dont hold me on this though, it comes straight from the Valve team.

Well my problem is that one time I can run the map the next time it tells me my map differs from the one on the server. WTF

Play Americas Army, you wont have that problem, and it is a far far better game to hone your skills.....
