If you havent heard there was a bombing in Iraq today, or well yesterday for them I suppose. It was an estaqmated 1000LB bomb and thus far 29 people have been killed and several (I think 50 or so) injured... I find it amazingly stupid that any Iraqis or even middle easterners who are in their right mind would support the insurgents after this... I can understand fighting against the states and so forth, but to destroy your own people so violently? It just seems unfair that those people's families have to live now knowing that their own country men were possibly responsible for the deaths of their loved ones...

I also absolutly dispise how reporters seem to not have any respect for those who lost their lives in the attack. Personally, I wouldn't film pictures of the bodies of someone's loved one. It seems discraceful to me that the reporters on the scene seem to have absolutly no consideration for the dead there. They constantly filmed people being dragged from the wreckage and those who were injured, even after being asked not to be some Iraqis on the scene. Give the dead some respect for #Cussing out sake! Its bad enough that they were murdered in such a way, but to film their corpses being dragged out of the rubble with some possibly loved ones near by? Its just sick if you ask me.

The only really good thing that I saw was the Iraqis helping each other, the firemen, police and citizens who were there helping dig through the wreckage and helping those who were injured. Who knows? Prehaps more HAS been done in a year then is apparent.

Yeah that's sad. And the media just makes things worse.

Hmm maybe im a fanic sayin that i dont see anything wrong with the filmin of this or any other tragic event. Alot of people had problems with reporters filmin the "jumpin men" on 9/11, you kno the guys who choose to jump rather then be burned alive, but its history and i think it should be filmed, no its not right and no i dont believe in what there fightin for but if a 10,000lb bomb blows up... thats history good or bad we shouldint shy away from it by only filmin the clean up of the rumble instead of corpse's because they would be objective reportin , we need to see the whole picture to come to our own concuslions or then its propangda and we all read how Hitler exploited that....Just my opinion wadda i kno

Welcome to this cruel world!!!

I'm sorry to disapoint you Potato, but the problem is not the reporter who film picture of dead bodies BUT the person who watched it!!! They film it because people want to see it (maybe not u and certainly not me, but you'd be surprised to know how many people like to see blood and dead corpse on TV). If nobody listen to it, u can bet u're arm that they'll not show it (see, we're talking again of blood and dismembered body ( )).

So welcome to this world, as ugly as he can be!!!

The news is only interested in their ratings, even if it does mean filming the dead bodies.

Hmm, well I also have a hard time understanding why the English fought the Scottish, Welsh and Irish. It's kind of the same thing with Iraq - you've got the Shi'ites, Kurds and Sunnis. They're all within the same country but all fight against each other.

It's hard for us to understand why people of different ethnicities and religions would hate each other so much. I don't understand it myself, but I'm sure they do. This may sound ethnocentric, but I don't think they've reached the same kind of cultural harmony (albeit imperfect) we've established in Europe and North America.

The media is a plague in our culture. I seriously hate how their #1 goal is to try to snare you into watching their BS. You know, they're not necessarily even interested in reporting the truth anymore. They don't hesitate to report news from the typical American perspective (which is more than slightly conservative) even if it means bending the truth to make sense of things. Canadian news on world events is much, much different. You'll hear many different details on CTV than CNN would never dream of broadcasting.

That is why I watch the "fair and balanced" news programming on fox news.

I try not to read the daily things about Iraq and about the middle east in general. It is just the same stuff over and over. It is funny to think that once the Middle East was united and the more culturally and civilized than Europe.
