Question

So call me a noob but...

I always hate scrolling through my weapons and having the menu there. I miss what i want or end up having it up and not knowing it so when i click to shoot it switches weapons. Is it possible that when you use the mouse scroll that the weapon automaticlly comes up? And if so is that considered a hack or frowned upon?

I heard there is a term called pistol rolling or whatever that nobody likes, but that's not what i'd be using it for...plus i think they got rid of that or something...not sure, as i am still sort of new to this game.

I thought there was a fash-switch option in HL but I can't find it in Steam.

There is in fact a console code for this and I don't think it's considered a cheat by any means. I tried looking for it but I can't find it. It's like cl_fastswitch or something.

i found it, it's hud_fastwitch 1, was trying it out and like it much better then going through the menu

As long as your not using it to bypass the reload time on the sniper rifles we don't have a problem with it.
