Problem

Ok this has been happening a lot. Whenever i disconnect or quit a game the game stops responding and i have to do ctrl alt delete. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Has been happening to me also, heard some people in game the other night talking about this and half the people on the server said yes that it is happening to them also.

never happens to me, but I dont exit like most ppl.

Bind a key to this

bind "*" "quit"

I never get stuck.

oh yeah!?!?!?! Well, mine will sometimes just freeze in the middle of games now! Got a fix for that Mr Smarty Pants?!?! That, and sometimes while playing DoD my ping goes all wacky and skyrockets to like 700, then back down to the mid 80s. Got any fixes for those ones Mr Know-it-all!?!?!??!

Ummm, actually, if you know any fixes for those, that'd be great.

Whenever I hit disconnect the same happens. If I hit quit then it is fine. I am finally getting smart and hitting quit now instead of disconnect!

I'm in the same vote as AZ omne minute your shooting someone the next your froze up and DOD stops responding noticed it happening to alot of peeps.

Check your rate mine was up at 20000 changed it to 8900 and seems to helped the problem might have to change it back everytime it's a bug with the last update.

I have the freezing problem. As for the ping I found that steam automatically sets all my rate stuff to what ever connection I say in the main steam program. It likes to keep changing mine to 14.4 modem giving me terrible lag. Every few days I have had to go in and change the setting back to my connection. You may want to check this. I also am having problems with my game stalling. First time after the game actuall starts (either once I join the server or start a new map in a lan) and receive the first data from the server, the game freezes for about 30 seconds or so then continues normal the rest of the time I play with out much problem

ive experienced all these problems - i took blown's advice. i dont play as much.
